KA24DE for sale... "updated"

I’m selling a rebuilt KA24DE which is coming out of my 92 SE by the week of January 12th. It has a max of 20,000K on it and just this morning it passed the Emissions Test with flying colors so I have that for anyone to view as proof it is in good running order. I’m also doing a compression test on it tomorrow while at work so will post the results in the afternoon. If anyone would like to see it running while it is still in the car they came come and do show with in 10 days of today.

This is the smoothest running car I have owned and it has the smoothest idle in any vehicle I’ve driven.

It will be sold as… Motor/Tranny/ECU/Harness with the expection of the speed sensor which is need for my SR swap. The clutch in the tranny is awesome and does not slip and the pedal is soft.

Any question you just PM me or post and I will do my best to reply a.s.a.p

Looking to get $500 for everything.

who was it rebuild by, and what was changed?
Did you change rings, mains and rod bearings in bottom end?
Most of all do you have receipts?

Andrew.

well…answer the questions…
im in need of that very stuff

I bought the car with engine already in it… since I bought the car with the intent to do the SR swap I never put any thought into asking the gentlemen for a receipt for the engine or asked regarding the engine at all really… he said he blew the stock engine around 215K and bought a brand new rebuilt from Toronto and thats all I got from him.

If you can find out more information from the guy you bought the car from that would be great.

I’m very interested in the engine.

Compression test is being done tonight… “jan 4th”

price for motor/tranny/ecu/harness is $400

I cannot offer any other information for the motor other then what I already have… I did not buy the engine and have owned the car now for 3 months but have never drove it until now. I do not plan on trying to get in touch with the gentleman i bought the car from to bother him as to where he got the motor and whether he still has a receipt.

I’m not in need of the motor which is only reason I’m posting it for sale… If it sits I could care less and if it went with the rest of my steel each month to the scrap yard I could also care less…

for $400 what do you guys expect ? for $1000 I can get it blueprinted if you like ?

you can even see it running in the car and drive it… other then that, the compression test and the e-test I cannot offer anymore… sorry.

that engine bay needs some loving

^^^ engine bay needs LOTS of loving… and one hell of a cleaning…

compression test was done this morning… 150psi on all 4 cylinders

thats rather low for a freshly rebuilt motor

That’s below minimum spec.

never said it was freshly rebuilt… motor is easily a year old but has sat along with the car for over 6 months until now.
