lsx s the best way to make power in these cars…if your going to make any kind of power you need a triple or quad rotor and even then they aren’t super reliable, and they mess up the weight distribution, where as the lsx adds 4olbs to the front of the car which still keeps the distribution nearly perfect…not to mention a 500hp lsx will get better gas mileage than a 400hp rotary all day
I watched a friend of mine who had a 360whp eat through a few apex seals in his 3rd gen, and the car was tuned properly, nothing was cheaped on…just the nature of he rotary…swapped to an ls2 this year, he car makes gobs more power, runs more reliably and gets fr better fuel economy
Everytime there’s an rx7 thread there’s a few rx7 owners who say “nice car, love the rotary” and a few friends of a friend of a friend who had an rx7 whose “apex seelz totaly blow up then u make no tq.”
