Kudos to Domination Chassis

I worked a half-day Friday so that I could tow my car (CMC Firebird) to Beaver Run for the NASA race weekend. While at work, my dad (C4 VVC Vette) called and told me to pickup an alternator because his self-destructed. I picked one up and went to the track.

When I arrived, he said his weekend was done and he looked bummed out. He was getting ready to load up and go home since the aluminum bracketry on the front of the modified ZZ4 crate motor in his car was shattered. His weekend was over and he looked truly bummed. I grabbed my cell phone and said “call Jay” (at Domination). He said, “No, we can’t bother him with something like this and it’s late in the day already - our first track session is 8:30am tomorrow”. By that point, the phone was ringing and I just handed it to him.

After a short chat, Jay told him to bring the car down so we reloaded it on the trailer and off he went.

I made it to the track early Saturday morning (before 7:00am) and my dad was already there, unloaded, ready for tech and smiling. We were gonna go at it!!

The good news is that the car ran great both days and had no problems. The bad news for him was that he had some, err, driving excitement during the Saturday race.

Kudos to Jay for doing a quality, lastminute job to let my dad and I play together on the track at Beaver Run. Outstanding, Jay.
