Laguna Seca Speed Record Falls

The new King of the Corkscrew is Ricardo Zonta, who clocked a 1:06.309s in the Toyota TF106.

Probably the only time you would have ever seen an up-to-date F1 car on Laguna Seca.

its such a shame those yuppies that live around the race track have started bitching

That’s what wildfires are for…

Besides the fact that it wasnt the current Toyota F1 car, or that every year at the Historics 3 or 4 2000+ Ferrari F1 cars show up? None the less amazing, I want to see an onboard video. Even funnier is that Zonta said with some more tuning he thinks they can get another 2 seconds out of it. 119.xmph average!

Ever better IMO, 20 Ferrari 250 GTO’s showed up. Keeping in mind they sell for $6-14million EACH.

Give me a break :stuck_out_tongue: the TF106 “B” is the latest greatest, but they didn’t start running that until a few races into the 2006 season. So they ran the A car. That’s still “up-to-date” for all intents and purposes. It would be impossible to run the current car because the F1 season isn’t over.

Hehehehehe. So I’m a picky bitch, what can I say.

What was the last record time? Wasn’t it a Porsche? Who drove?

Justin

Last record was in a Champ car, only half a second slower.

Thats crap, did in 1:03 in gran turismo F1 car

LOL too slow :stuck_out_tongue:
