Leakdown Tester...

So i need to Borrow, Rent, Or have someone come by with a Leakdown tester so as to rule out the possibility of Headgasket failure for my poor poor over heating S13

what else do I say… hmm…

Im on the border of brampton and mississauga, but the testing would most likely go down around bristol and mavis if you were to meet me with the device…

I’m willing to pay for a rental of such a device, although i have no idea how much it should cost

but yeah, if you can help me out, that’d be great

you could ask parts source for a price on rental, they should have it

yeah eh? i called the one at millcreek and erin mills they said they dont have one, that i would have to buy

I live at Mavis & Ray Lawson, just on the border of mississauga and Brampton

are you loosing coolant? If not your head gasket is fine

i might be… but one thing for sure im not finding coolant on my dip stick or oil cap.

i just want to rule it out entire, because if i rule that out, it has to be water pump, thermostat, radiator, heater core, or hoses.

ive changed rad and t-stat, so if i rule out headgasket, by my reasoning, if i change the hoses, reseal the water pump (maybe?) and then bleed the fuck out of it over and over again, my overheating/lack of heat problem should be fixxed.

So…

again, anybody with a leakdown tester in the GTA?

Bah! I’m in Barrie. Otherwise Id help you out. Sounds to me like you need to test your coolant system with a pressure tester, before you go on a leakdown hunt. Unless it’s missing like a sob,… I would look elsewhere than the head gasket.
