Liquid to Air intercoolers

I have a 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 and im looking at putting a new intercooler on it. There are two set ups im looking at

  1. the first is an air to air set up: most front mounts go for about the same price for this car:

2.This one isnt totally on the market yet but will be soon its a Liquid to air intercooler:

Im wondering if its worth going water to air. The Liquid to air is actually cheaper. Also i dont want to fab up my own front mount so thats not an option.

No

Why do you need an intercooler? Its a supporting mod, and it supports the factory configuration just fine. Have you done any upgrades to the rest of the engine/turbo setup that would require a larger more expensive intercooler?

for the AWIC you will need an expansion tank for it, an electric waterpump, charge piping, a heat exchanger(think 03-04 cobra) plus they are big, so where will it go, your engine bay isnt very open.

The liquid to air setup is cheaper then the front mount and its set up just for the Mazdaspeed. Its around $900.00

The front mount is $1,125.75
