Anyone know who has good rates, or any rates on older vehicles? Everything I see is 7 years or newer. Car is a 1999 with 29000 miles about $10,000(summer fun car)
have you tried a credit union?
obviously it will all boil down to what the vehicle is worth vs what amount youre looking to finance.
Good luck. What kind of car is it? Sounds like you are going to be fucked coming and going. Fucked in that no bank will write that loan as it’s 12 years old and fucked as it isn’t old enough/rare enought for J.J. Banks or any of those other classic car loan places.
penfed.org I don’t know what their year cut off is if they even have one, but I financed my audi at 2.9% and it’s a 2006 with 84k
if they won’t do it then probably nobody will.
That’s the second time I heard penfed, I’ll have to try. Seems only credit unions do it, I was wondering if there was anyone local someone here had experience with[COLOR=“Silver”]

Coxster
I’m in the same boat, but I want to borrow less for a DD. Everyone says you’re only option if penfed won’t do it is a personal loan…
Nevermind, I got sniped, and reserve not met anyway. I was going to put a 3.4 in it. Man it would have been so awesome.

ew, a soft window boxster, really?
:ham:
What difference does the rear window make? It would be down most of the time anyway, it would have been a 3rd car.
if you have ANY ties to Niagara county - work, live, etc. (even “attend” a church) you can get a loan through cornerstone.
Yup my cousin lives in Erie county and went to cornerstone. Said he goes to a church in NT and he got a loan no problem for a 2001 car. Credit unions are the way to go
They don’t check either lol
My credit union offered me 2.9% on a 94 miata. Looks like they are at 3.25% now. They never mentioned a year restriction just mileage.
Used Cars: Maximum used car loan advance is NADA “Retail Value” or 80% of the purchase price where NADA “Retail Value” is not available. Amount financed determines loan term. Further restrictions apply on vehicles with 100,000 miles or more.
Cornerstone is
i went to cornerstone for the loan for my bmw. mainly because i have my checking and savings accounts there. it was my first loan, had no cosigner and i had no problem at all. ended up doing 4500 for 3 years at 5% interest and just pay more each month, itll be paid off a year early at the rate im going…just paid the rest out of pocket for what i paid for the car(i hate owing any kind of money and didnt want to take the loan out in the first place but my parents made me so i can build credit for when i buy a house as im only 22 right now)
the lady there was really nice, and even sent me a thank you card after. lol.
+1 for cornerstone, had my STI through them and now the S2K 50K on her, about 10 years old and still got a loan
Something to watch for though, is the type of loan. On a lot of used cars they write it as a personal loan, so no matter what happens to the car (like accident not covered by insurance) they still get their money and won’t fight on your behaf, however they still want to be the Lean holder on the vehicle. Bullshit IMHO.
X…
BUMP.
Who are people using nowadays? I’m considering a couple different cars in the 35k range; a few different 2nd gen GTS’s, and a few different 06-08 Zo6’s.
