Long Lost GT40

Not sure if anyone caught this or if this is a re-post. Still finds to be had out there. Wish it were me.

Wow

I love reading about stuff like this. You honestly never know what is just sitting in someones garage like that.

Great article in Hot Rod about this car. Last of the Mk IIs if I remember.

one of three GT40 MkI cars to come with the MkII’s rear clamshell, and of those three, it is the only survivor. Furthermore, it was the last GT40 to be produced in 1966 and was the last GT40 to use a Ford serial number—all subsequent GT40s wore the serial numbers of J.W. Automotive Engineering.

So it has that going for it.

Edit: the word priceless is way over/incorrectly utilized. Obviously this had a price at auction. Irreplaceable, maybe, but not priceless.

I agree, and you can say the same for a lot of words commonly overused in todays vocab. Words like AMAZING or EPIC are way-the-fuck overused, just to name a couple.

How about “surreal”? I turn off TV / radio programs as soon as I hear it.
