Looking for a JDM Honda Motor Vendor In WNY or Southern Ontario

I’m looking to purchase a jdm k20a motor. I would like to possibly pick one up locally. I live in Kenmore and would be willing to drive anywhere within a 4 hour radius. Does anyone know of any shops, possibly in Toronto (big jdm market) that have access to these rare jdm motors.

Sounds pricey… Got 5k on hand?

Color me stupid, and ignorant. But what would be the differences between a JDM, and USDM K20. And why couldn’t you use the saved money to build it beyond that spec?

I’m just curious at this point, not trying to be a smartass or anything.

in short
jdm type r k20s = higher comp more power bla bla
usdm type s k20s = American restrictions less power bla bla

doesnt djnick still have one sitting in his shop?

about 20hp

Actually the major differences between the US spec k20a2 and the JDM k20a are:

Better Flowing Head (hand pnp)
More agressive cams
Higher compression
Better tranny gearing
LSD

you are better off with a usdm k20 and a turbo

To answer the man’s original question, when I had my Honda, Hybrid was able to get me a JDM B18. I’m not sure if they still are able to. Give them a call.

Japanesedomesticmotors.com will ship to you home…ask mindless

or

got to alltech in TO and put the motor in the back of the car and drive over, the 3 times we have picked up motors no problem … its just the GST that gets you

GST & PST are refundable on exports. You just need to fill out the correct paperwork
