Like the title says, im looking for a miata, preferably with the 1.8, one with pop-up headlights (anything up until 2001 to be honest even without the popup headlights, depends) manual transmission, and IT WILL BE MY DAILY DRIVER. I talked to someone who daily drives a 96 and he said with snow tires, it is bearable. So my question is, who here knows about these things. Common problems, things to look out for, years to avoid and look for, options to look for, and any input from someone who has one would be great. And yes, i have done my research but a little more input wouldn’t hurt.
I am thinking of selling mine, but it’s probably a lot more car than what you’re looking to get.

In winter i will get snow tires, and hopefully i can get one with a hardtop. I saw the 91, but im looking for one with a 1.8 and an m edition

As far as issues with miatas.
They tend to need spark plug wires.
CAS seal and CAS go bad.
I always like to replace motor mounts. Stock ones are meh.

miatas are lame but I would drive one in a second. Some of the old guys who have them keep them pristine but when it comes time to sell they think they can get way more than what they are worth.
My buddy beats the piss outta his miata and drives it hardddddd in the winter. I see no issues with dding one.
