Probably not till the end of summer/winter time. I want to just drive it as is for now. If anything, I may buy some Raceland coilovers to drop it and then just wait on wheels.
I cant imagine the hoops that you would need to jump through to pass inspection on an OBD2 swap. If it could be done that would be amazing. I know its possible to swap turbo drivetrain into older obd2 n/a subarus and pass inspection. If all else fails, register it as a camaro-- they will never know.
My car should be on the road tomorrow–we will have to have a miata meet soon!
Yeah it was on CL, probably on the Syracuse one if I remember correctly. Got it for a REALLY good deal from a retired teacher, he had used it to tow behind his RV. They bought a home in Florida and were trying to get rid of extra stuff before they left.
Oh, and this thing came with literally a 2.5" binder full of maintenance records from Mazda dealers/repair shops. I even have the original window sticker. This car was serviced every 3,000 miles and has had every fluid checked, filled or flushed in that increment.
Yep I saw that exact ad, remember the RV part and everything. You probably couldn’t ask for a better Miata to come across, especially with the maintenance history and all. Enjoy cruising this summer.
