So as most of you have seen, the gf and I are getting a puppy for her family. I was wondering if anyone had any large kennels that they have just laying around or know anyone with a kennel laying around and dont want it anymore. we are looking to just have one from the time we get the puppy to the time it becomes full grown, which will be the size of a lab/retriever. if anyone can help me on this please let me no. im not looking to buy a new one or spend an arm and a leg on a used one. so let me know if anyone can help.
suerrry. lol and as for the dog pissing in his crate, it wont happen. we had a golden retriever puppy with the same crate till he was about 1, and he might have pissed/shit when we first got him, never after if you show them where and what the need to do. remember they dont piss/shit where they sleep. only when they are very very young.
Just lookin out for ya man. A lot depends with how long they are in there as well. First month was a lot cleaning up urine lol.
I used to have a small one from when mine was a pup, don’t know what I did with it. Definitely just look around on craigslist though, you will find something.
I paid $120 for the large plastic one that my dog uses now.
thanks for the look out, i didnt mean to sound like an ass if i did when i said about my golden not doing it. im really pissed with my dad. lol he gave the large crate we used for my dog to the people we are getting the puppys from, which she used for the mom that had the pups. she asked my dad if we wanted it back, which he said to turn around and sell it and use the money for beer. lol well they sold it alright, just before they found out the mother was going to have pups. lol otherwise i would have gotten my crate back for free. lol perfect size i needed.
edit: i think they sold it for $10 too. its a very very large crate that you can have a full size dog like a golden or lab. lol all metal to
crate, that was my fault…sorry for outside we are going to use a dog run (if you dont know) with the line suspended in the air and the leash coming of the line so the dog can run back and forth without needing a fence.
