I have been to LKQ, and the sole jetta there has all the bits I want missing.
Looking for a 2.0 coil connector, coil and a few plastic hose engine bay type things…
I have decided to spend another 20 minutes on the car some time this month.
lol
Sort of. Applying pressure to the coil connector sorted out all the bucking about to stall issues…
Tugging and pulling on the wires also led to misfile codes.
Could be the brand new cheap-o coil but I went and mangled the connector.
Also managed to blow a hole in the DP somewhere too, so it’s pretty loud now…
Still not sure what I want to do with it. Once it starts and runs reliably, it will still need tires and timing belt changed out.
I’m sort of hoping my BBQ explodes in my garage one of these days.
Why would I want anyone to fix it properly?
On the plus side, my bike is back together and runs 10x better than it did last year.
Only took 9 months to clean and tune 4 carbs.
