I’m sure many of you have heard by now as it is certainly no longer under wraps, but for those of you that aren’t aware, Buffalo now has a Lotus dealership! This is pretty awesome, as there are a small # of them throughout the country in general, and to have one now in our town is pretty amazing if you ask me.
My good friend Matt can be credited for bringing the dealership here, and it will be located adjacent to Mike Barney Nissan on Sheridan/Millersport. Final building/showroom details are still being worked out, but expect a grand opening sometime around the middle of May. There are already cars on order, and there will be a # of Evoras in stock, as well as a # of used cars, including Esprit and Elise/Exige.
I honestly believe the reason we don’t see many exotics from Lotus, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. in WNY has little to do with money, but rather an overall lack of dealer support. Many of the people that buy these cars do not service them on their own. Having a small dealer network and having to travel sometimes many hours, even crossing state lines, can be a turn off to potential owners. Hence the reason we see so many Corvette’s and Porsche’s here…
Either way, it is an exciting time for car enthusiasts in the WNY region. I will update this thread as the date/time become more finalized for the grand opening. Hey Drew - I’m not even sure he got the call. We all went to dinner last night with Lotus (some of the guys are up here for training, etc.), and I brought up your car, and he did not seem to recall anything. Try him again - he’s wearing a lot of hats at the moment, and could have easily just missed your call. Also, I know at this point he’s got an inventory of ~10 cars already, so not sure if he’d be able to take it in, but Tony did mention to me last night that he could list it for you (for the cost per my text message to you) as well.

Still in the works, waiting on a few more papers from the state. But we are looking at having a great open house kind of like a cars & coffee get together with music, etc
