Buffalo Lotus Dealership

So when is Buffalo getting a Lotus dealership?

Very shortly. Couple of months.

I’ll be working the booth at the auto show Saturday, from 5-10 if anyone wants to stop in and say hi. We’ll have a 2012 Evora S GP Edition, #14 of 14…

Cool, that’s when I was planning on going. Will there be any other cars there?

No, just the Evora. It is currently the only offering for North America (road legal, that is).

Yeah I just thought you guys might have rounded up some previous cars for the show.

I may drag the wife and kid there Saturday night so I may see you there Joe.

Sounds great, Mike.

Drew, there was no way I was bringing my car out with this weather. I think I got about 4 feet of snow in front of each garage bay at the moment…sigh…I think the same can be said for Matt and his cars…plus I’m not sure how much space Matt was alloted for the dealership…

Saw the Evora at the auto show last night…sexy
Had no clue Mike Barney was opening up a Lotus dealership here

Joe are you working at Mike Barney Lotus dealership or just for the show?

Mike Barney is not so much opening the dealership, it is just one of the partners of Mike Barney doing this on his own, Matt Serwacki. Mike Barney is just the avenue it is going through.

Mike, I am doing this as a favor, and to help spead the word. Matt (the partner opening the Lotus dealership) is a good friend of mine, and asked me to be there. I’d love to be involved in the dealership more, but Im just pulled in so many directions these days between my regular job, the property business, and regular commutes to the NYC area, it is hard to committ my time to anything else right now. But who knows, I’m sure I will be involved more in some capacity once things get rolling in the spring. I just can’t stay away from Lotus cars…

The thing that excites me most (beyond the fact that Buffalo is getting a Lotus dealership), is that Matt is a terrific guy for this venture. He put up a ton of his own money for this, and he is realistic in knowing that at best, it is a break even kind of gig, at least for a while. He’s just a passioniate Lotus car guy, and I admire that a ton. He wants to see the brand spread here, and while a lot of the people might have the money for something like this, no one else would ever do it, knowing that it is not going to generate a ton of money.

I can’t wait for the spring…

Ahh gotcha, was just loosely going off what the one guy at the booth told me. The other guy (Matt) was talking to some other people.
Sounds exciting, I hope it does well

Moved these posts to their own thread.
