But what I dont get is why does it being a diff compound all the sudden change how the car acts? Do they just bite more so the car is just pushing it all over vs a skinny where the contact patch is soo small they just don’t bite as hard?

because one is a steel-belted radial tire, with a low profile, rigid sidewall and the other is a nylon cord, bias-ply with a wrinkle wall sidewall
