dans car is open diff. and he was on shitty street tires. he spun well past the 8th. that car made 600whp on 20ish psi. its fully nastied out. he just needs to get used to it and set the car up to handle that much power. with good tires, an lsd, harder springs in the rear, and maybe learn to drive it and he would be 10’s. its just a burnout queen right now.

its a k20r bored to 90mm with a 2.4 liter bottom end. making it a k26. he a has a fully built portflow head with oversized valves and supertech valve train. cp pistons, pauter rods. sotck itr cams. rbc IM. fullrace k seires sidewinder kit with a synapse motorsport touch. we added a second 44mm WG. 1000cc precisions, single 255lph, 3inch exhaust, blah blah blah, he made 410whp at 7.5 psi. (wg spring). he made 610whp at 20ish psi and 400?ish ft/lbs all by 4000rpms. basically its like sick nasty. im sure im forgetting alot of stuff but ya.
1 255 for 600+whp… thats pushing it.
Thanks for the input guys. Bottom line is what I have long known…4l60 can not handle job… 400 doesnt offer my desired lock-up converter…so 4l80 is the answer…but tunnel and shifter mods and costly core.
We shall see. I plan to call level ten tomorrow.
Exactly what K20a members i talked to said… K24/K20 + 35r = tire screamer and the power seems kinda low for that set up…A guy made 654whp on a stock internal K24/K20 w/ a 35r on 110 octane.

jammer i got a long tail th350 exact dimmensions as your 4l60 and output as 4l60 so ya can use same driveshaft all ya need is a adapter for the flexplate to mate to the converter
Nope the guy’s from NJ…don’t think he’d go all the way to Cali to get dynoed just for high numbers.
this was also dans second time driving the car… he just got the tranny back in it. he’s not used to the power. give him a few weeks of practice. he was only running 10 psi at the track 420whp
Still, even so…420whp would = a higher trap.
Yeah, it brought me down from a 2.3 to a 2.2. If I let more air out I bet I would have hooked even better and been in the high 13’s. Traps were up there all night though, 103-104.
