I love this look on expensive cars… but on cheap cars it just looks stupid… the whole split personally of doing it to an expensive car is what gives it the cool factor.

I have to repaint ~ 80% of my car due to rock chips… im seriously considering going matte black… just dont know how durable it is…

Durability depends on quality of the paint job.
Rattlecan - Not Durable
Primed, Satin Black, and ‘Matte’ Clear - Equal if not slightly more durable then what you have now from the factory
Stones > Any Paint Job
I have done a few Matte jobs. White, Red, and Green. They look alright, but usually only around dusk is when the hotness shows through. On real sunny days the paint just looks faded…:shrug:
