Maxton Standing Mile Runs

In North Carolina my cousins went to the Standing mile for some racing at the Maxton air strip.

72 camaro making 685 wheel and blowing up at the end of the run driven by my cousin Dave hit 179mph…he came in 2nd to a guy running 190mph in the Hot Rod class.

My other cousin Mikes 03 Mach 1 Mustang went 151mph all motor in the Stock class where he was already the record holder.

I gotta get down there and check it out and drive the camaro, my cousin told me he got a hard on pulling the chute so I wanna check that out :slight_smile:

I am not sure of the gear on the camaro, but I know the mustang is a 3.73 rear gear.

heh… the Maxton “Monster” Mile… just read a thread about the SVSi TT Viper, ran just shy of 210 MPH @ 13.5 PSI.
