cyl 2 is the pass first cyl and the most common spot for them to pop i have never seen the 4.3 pop a head the coolant jacket is next to the intake port onn the head prolly suckin it in threw the intake gasket common failure point

i just did an intake mani gasket on a silverado with the 4.3 poortec. sure was leaking front bank on passenger side, dripping through the valley, and down the back of the motor. wouldn’t be surprised if yours was too.
