mercedes e55 action

I have a 2005 mercedes E55 that is completely stock. The power this has in the cold is obnoxious for a stock car, and my terrible memory has me baffled as to why these are not more common in the street racing world back in the day. Were there many of these things around back in the mighty days?

Probably because they were $100k back in the day?

More than you can afford pal…

They were reasonable after a few years, but it’s still scary to own a few year old Benz if you are not real good with a wrench yourself.

X…

I think 1320 just had some guy with his making like 600 wheel they showed recently. Was cool even tho his cooler line fell of the bracket and dragged on the street.

I just traded in my 2010 e63. I have 18" amg wheels with yokohama snows if youre interested.

You really need to keep us up to date with the situation. It was something I looked forward to seeing on here.

Lucky it didn’t spray all over and burn the car down. Cool ride though.

one thing about the e55 vs my friends s55 is the lack of traction on the E55. The S55’s ABC magical suspension makes his car hook 10X better than mine. My car is stock and his has headers, pulley, larger throttle body and some other goodies. His will hook from a dig on nittos with, and my car is completely useless in first gear… after doing a ton of digging i found out that mercedes made 7 AWD E55 waggons in europe, but i can’t find any information about what parts mercedes used to make AWD fit. I just think back in the day that a E55 or S55 would have beat out most of the cars on UBRF or NYspeed in the days when we actually raced.

yeah, but also back in the day you could spend $100k and build so many things that would destroy the e55…

…such as a 996TT which would still be worth $55k today and not $10k

There is no way you were touching a 996tt for 50k 10 to 12 years ago

like stated above, no had that kind of money, back in the day my cobra was “fast” now if you don’t have 1000+hp…your slow lol

I’m thinking back and I recall 60-70k being possible a on a 2002 996tt in like 2007
