Does anyone ride mini bikes? Im buyin a crf50 next week. Its got a few mods nothin special…YET…Where do you ride? What do you ride? Mods? and any pics. Ill post mine as soon as I get it.
I have a totally stock Z50 that we trash at least bi-weekly. Right now it’s blowing oil out of the case, and I think we’ll fix it with JB weld. There’s a thread somewhere on here with the fork incident.
Ive been riding/racing mini’s for a few years now, its the best time ive ever had on 2 wheels hands down. Snag that CRF50 man, you wont regret it. Here is a pic, its dated but you get the idea. Ive put a 117cc Kitaco stroker motor, billet oil cooler, and the Takegawa 3spd close ratio tranny on the bike since these pics were taken. I’ll get some updated ones soon.

Ok I got the bike. ITs fun as hellllll to ride! Now what should I buy for it performance wise thats not too hard to install but gives me some power?
assuming you have a stock Honda? if so, look at a big bore kit. like the 88cc kit. then i’d get a longer swing arm, aftermarket shock, better forks and hi-rise bars. those are the basics. then you can get more detailed with wider pegs, extended brake pedal/shifter (if you already have a manual) more power mods and brakes etc.

Well today I ordered my new black plastics and black grips for the fiddy and decided to paint the handle bars black to try and keep the all black theme going. The paint is preety cool I picked it up at Ollies for 5.99. It came with a base color black, the cool sparkle paint, and a clear coat. Not a bad deal.
In the paint process I decided to move my brake to the left side so it was easier to use my front brake and throttle at the same time. And relocated the kill switch to the bottom of the handle bars.

sweet. they make some really cool graphics kits for those things, in black. i assume you dont ride big bikes much, with the front brake relocation? if that were me, i’d be thinking clutch on natural instinct and probly get balled up, lol. i’d say try to sink some money into performance upgrades before you go any more cosmetically. gettin your motor bumped up and bigger/better suspension will make that bike 100x more fun to ride.
Ya I agree. The plastics and grips were preety beat up so I figured Id order new ones. Next mods include a rev box, new intake, bigger swing arm and maybe bigger carb.
you didnt really paint the gas cap and bars while they were on the bike did you? 
its just as easy to remove the parts… you remind me of that kid that was on here that painted his valve cover, but masked off his whole engine other than taking the cover off

Im not gonna lie I did haha. Only reason is because the damn hex bolts were in there so damn tight I couldnt get them to loosed up to remove the bars. I even asked my dad to help me and hes a preety strong dude and he couldnt get it so we decided just to mask it off. I gues it turned out decent though.
