Mods editing post issue

I recently had a mod edit my post in the buy/sell fourm after saying good luck but recommending that the price might be a bit of a turn off. I come back to see my post has been edited into something foolish sounded. I think mods should do THEIR JOB and if they dont think the post follows rules or whatever they should REMOVE it and not just play around and edit it to their liking. I have seen this more then once on here and its really childish.

Not following the rules is really childish.

I edited yours and spilners posts… maybe if we make you sound like idiots
when you break the rules you’d stop doing it.

DO NOT POST IN OTHER PEOPLE’s FOR SALE THREADS unless you are
interested in buying something.

Everyone knows you can get OBX or other knockoffs of the Cs shifter for
$100… that one is real Cs, so keep your mouth shut. You wouldn’t want
other people posting in your For Sale threads that everything you’re selling
is overpriced and that they can get it for less.

The mods get sick of deleting everything only to have the same people
do it again. Editing people’s stuff to make them sound like idiots pisses
them off more, and then they usually stop being dinks.

Any questions?

Ya just shows you guys being really selective since there are two mods posts in there saying the same thing I said but they seem to be ok telling people to get a OBX or B&M one from ebay. Really I didnt sound childish at all I didnt put down his product or say it was poor quality or mabye not even worth 350 I said it might have a hard time finding a buyer for that price. Honestly its hypacritical to enforce the “rules” on members but not on the mods as well. I guess these people are ok to post what they please.

I edited only those 2 because they were the only 2 there last night
when I saw the post. I haven’t edited anything else yet. Its not selective.

Don’t comment unless you want to buy, its as simple as that. What’s so
difficult about that concept?

Do you want people in your thread saying “oh good luck getting $xxx.xx
for that part.” Obviously not. So don’t do it to other people.

Do you want me to increase your post count for you? Would that stop you
from making pointless posts?

I am still standing by my original comment that mods should just remove what was in the post and replace it by saying “read the buy/sell rules” or pm the user. You would not like it if I could post in yours and do the same thing everytime I thought you didnt do what it right.

END

I normally just edit it to say it doesnt follow the rules, delete it, and/or PM
the person… but I didn’t feel like it.

My internet has been on and off for the last week, and I’m angry, so I
decided to have some fun.

Sorry if I offended you guys, but follow the rules and there won’t be any
problems like this.

You quoted one MOD there and one user.

I’m sure if Andy saw those posts at the time he would have edited them as well.

If you don’t follow the rules, your thread will be deleted or edited accordingly. It is up to each mod to decide on an appropriate action for those who do not follow the forum rules.

Sorry to thread steal but my thread was deleted. With the new “preface” area why do we call the new forum drones New Members when they are not members. I think it should go back to Introductions that was much much better.

I deleted it. Come on dude it’s pretty self explanatory what this section is.

Read the description under the link

Front Desk
Comments, suggestions and complaints about the board and its staff.

Ok so it is very self explanitory. I still think the New Members Section’s name should be changed to Introductions

Gautam you have the power!!!

I changed it to “New Users” section, and edited the description accordingly.

I think you would agree it makes it look much nicer. Thank you.

I had it “Initiation” at first and then made it “New Members”.

Ah well, I think the Front Desk will prove useful and keep the bitching
and shit against Mods out from Car Chat.

And it should help us mods become better, and give us an idea of who
is not playing up to the role.

I know this is a thread for “mods editing posts” issue. But I didn’t want to start a new thread for a small issue.

Last post in that thread.

That was an interest check for a car I might be selling. I don’t care that the thread was locked because I got what I needed - but I think threads should be locked for a valid reason and not because they are “homo sexual”

As a side note, I know everyone says they hate fast and the furious but I guarantee you all watched the first two and I guarantee you’ll all watch the third one. I know I will.

thats 90% useless posts, a few of them are posts by mods.

WHO CARES WHY. LET THE POOR GUY USE THE SECTION FOR WHAT IT WAS INTENDED TO BE USED FOR.

Original Nuttuh, I think it was even somewhere in this thread that you said you try to keep useless posts clean but it’s hard to keep up - you’re posting them yourself!

Link?

you quoted the link!

The guy doesnt even know what he needs.

I am reminding him of that, in my own asshole like way.

Either he has a 95 S14, or a 94 S13.

Anymore useless posts?
I encourage the members to let me know when i am acting out of line.

i dont read those sections too often, but i’ll be sure to post here if thats what you want. I was just using this case to solidify a point.

I see what you were doing, I probably would have posted there also but I just would have asked him to clarify, he probably just made a typo-o somewhere, either s13/4 or 94/5
