i have never seen one deep fried, it is traditionally ham, turkey, swiss, mustard and bread. Dip it in egg wash and grill like a normal sandwich. Take off grill and bake for 10-15 min. at 350 and voila a crispy sandwich that has been around for years and is an staple at weddings and country club events as an Hors d’oeuvre
