apex = high point in a turn…of which right before you should be off the brakes and on the gas…

high point = in reference to the turn on the driving line.
OR
low point = in reference to where your car should be in relation to the road.
uh yea, you should definately be done braking by the apex. you should be done before you get to the turn-in in most cases.
