So I went to the track for the first time ever tonight at NYI. I’m pretty pleased and want to thank Mike from Innovative Tuning right away for the awesome tune.
Mods are hallman boost controller, defi egt + boost d-gauge, evo 3 16g ported, 34mm flapper, -10an ss turbo oil drain line, gasket matched dnp ss header, ported 1g o2 housing, RNR o2 housing back 3" exhaust, 1g k&n filter, Evo 8 MAF, Dejon upper & lower I/C piping, Dejon SUPER BIG smic, 10gauge fuel pump rewire, walbro 255lph hp, prothane engine mounts, DSMLink, 750 fic injectors, aeromotive fpr, cyclone intake manifold, arp headstuds, stock 4layer headgasket . Not sure on the weight yet. I was running 25psi, with meth injection and unleaded 112.
Mike and I said that also at the end of the night. With a tranny and cams it should be an easy 11.8, which was my goal from the get go. My tranny synchros are shot so I can’t shift above 7000 and by time I really hook up out of the launch I’m at 6850-6900 rpms, so second always take a second to grab…lol. Not to mention I still have about another 100lbs of weight reduction in mind.
I was very happy with the results and Gary impressed me with his driving. His first time ever at the track and his worst run all night was a 12.7 LOL
Gary had to shift at lower than optimal RPMs to get the car in gear and that makes a big difference in the ET. Just with a rebuilt tranny he could have knocked a few more tenths off and the cams will put him over the top into the 11’s. Lookin good Burch!
