Little of both. Same owners still but I think some of the managers left.
They are changing their image which is needed becuase like any bar on Chippewa, its a theme bar and hope to last ~ 5 years and then need to change.
Hopefully with this Pure (named after and supposedly modeled after the one in Cesar’s Palace,Las Vegas ) they get rid of the 18+ night and keep it a 21+ crowd. For a club downtown, the 21 and over events weren’t bad there.
The 18+ nights were the only nights there was something to look at there. The rest of them were all Asian and Arabic dudes.
That’s funny, because when it first opened that’s what they said then too, lol. I was there opening night with Aiman, TheBlue and I think JoesTypeS if I remember correctly.
All clubs in Buffalo that try to replicate the scene elsewhere go through the same cycle;
- Tell everyone / advertise that your club is going to be different, classier and more exclusive; the “we’re just like ______ club in the city of _____” idea.
- Play dance / electronic music, serve expensive drinks, kick out ghetto kids.
- Get greedy and decide to “broaden the clubs appeal” to get more people.
- Start playing hip-hop mostly, attract ghetto kids and actually start making more money than before.
- Quantity over quality only goes so far and after X amount of time, the original people your club attracted have moved on. (ie, the people with money.)
- Club degrades into a ghetto grind fest. Fights and scumbags hurt your image… and your revenue.
- Close club and start over at step 1.

It got huge with the asian and arabic UB frats. Only good thing with the 18+ nights was they get drunk and come fucked up and are the ones making out and dressed like sluts. Haha

its…a…nightclub… you don’t go there to have intellectual conversations with people you haven’t seen in a years.
If they do have 18+ I hope they keep it on just Thursdays like Level used to and keep Friday and Saturday 21+.
I will stop out and check it out after this weekend. I just don’t feel like paying $20 to see Flo Rida hang out at a bar that I will probably only stay at a little bit before wandering.
