Apples and oranges. The Si is almost twice as expensive as a Reno. As for a motor that will last, GM’s been using my motor in various forms since the mid-80s Vauxhall Astras. I’m not saying the new Civic won’t be a good car, but it’s definitely biting someone’s style…

And an 01 GSR wasn’t even in consideration. I wanted a car with 0 miles and a long warranty, and I’m keeping mine for the forseeable future. If gas keeps going up however, I’ll probably end up buying a Toyota Yaris when they come out next year… or if Honda brings out something less queer looking than the Fit, I’ll be on it.

And don’t think I’m one of those “I just fucking hate Hondas” people. Favorite car I ever owned was an 89 CRX DX. If Honda still made anything remotely close to that, I wouldn’t have bought a Reno. But Honda hasn’t made a compact I’d bother sitting in since the 2000 hatch. The 2001+ Civics drive like fucking Cavaliers with less torque. And the Si hatch is underpowered and overpriced.
