Having to find work when laid off, I found a part time job driving a handicap/special kids bus. The route is kind of long with distances between stops. Let me tell you about my first day.Dont ask me why, but they nicknamed the school “Sesame Street School”
Got a few kids on the bus. I stop for this little boy standing by the mailbox. I notice that he seems to be scratching at his own feet. He climbs the stairs and I ask, quite seriously what is wrong with him. With a smile that could get him on a Life cereal box, he replies “Hi! My name is Lester and I have bunyons on my feet that tickle. The doctor gave me special socks to stop the tickling but they make my feet itch.” OOOOOOOK I think to myself. He sits down near the back.
A few stops later, two little fat girls are waiting. They are twins and dressed identical. At the same time they both inform me that their name is Patty. After a brief pause to think about that one, I send them to sit down. They begin playing cards in the back with Lester. Remember Lester?
After many more stops, both girls start crying. I dont mean just whiny crying, Im talking about breaking windows at 20 feet type crying. I freak out and lock the brakes up, sliding my bus to the side of the road. After making sure the brake was set (didnt want it to roll away) I rush back the the rear of the bus to see the little girls crying and hugging each other. I raised my voice to as deep a rumble as my adult male existance could muster and asked “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON BACK HERE?”
At that time, both Pattys say in unison"Lester’s cheating!"
My first day on the job and what do I have?
TWO OBESE PATTYS,SPECIAL SOCKS,LESTER CHEATS, TICKLING BUNYANS ON A SESAME STREET BUS!
