My new lens for the D40X

I got the tele-photo lens last week. I absolutely love the range.

You NEED a good tripod, and a remote…

I just got a rock solid tripod, so that + my remote make all the difference…

Out of curiousity, what did you end up paying?

I got mine secondhand for $170

^ brand new for $220. I am considering selling it and buying the VR version. that would eliminate the need for tripod.

and eh on the tripod. For what I use the camera for, I have no use for the image stabilization…
