My Turbo E30 thread, ABORTED. info on page 7, post 170.

HOLY SHIT, somebody paid for that charge piping?

that is the WORST welding i have ever seen on a production piece… if you suck at welding that much why not just grind it down afterwards to make it suck less, especially if you are going to go through the time of coating it
WOW…you are very critical on people with welding like this:

E30 are BMW 3 series from like 1984 to 1991.

haha, that was teh first time i had ever made anything, and it was mine, not something i sold to other people, i eventually ground those down and that DP is still going strong over 2 years and 30k miles later with no cracks or anything hanging off a 400WHP gt35r… that is daily driven

FMIC piping for the same project done a couple of weeks later

Okay, thanks. He was looking to covert his 7 series to a 5 series, and I was trying to figure out if the tranny would fit.

you mean convert it drivetrain wise… not change the chassis right …

^^^ Correct. He has an E23 (1985 maybe?). It’s a 745, currently with an automatic and an open diff I believe. He’s ultimately be looking to swap the automatic for a manual transmission.

I didn’t mean to take this thread off course, I apologize.

Definitly swapable.

LOL the charge pipes are likely to not be used. for how much i paid for the kit o can’t complain. SS headers are usually about the price i paid for the kit.
and i gotta run megasquirt… know anyone whos got it?! :stuck_out_tongue:
diyautotune.com for megasquirt kits. baldturbofreak.com for tuning and assistance.

btw, you wont get 350hp out of the t3 obviously. 270whp maybe. holset will be plenty of turbo. i know a guy putting 420whp down in a converted RWD plymouth sundance (shadow) with a HX35.

Brian

i really dont see that motor responding well to 20psi

is your e30 an 84-87? If so, euro bumpers and valance are hawt. I believe the euro valance prob has more of an opening. Otherwise, you can put an m tec I kit on it.

Ooor, any bumper for a late model will fit an early model if you cut the tow hook

you can even take a late model bumper/valance setup. the rear will take modification though

hypocrit.

if your not gonna use the charge piping, and there is no IC or BOV, and your not gonna use the oil setup, then you overpaid

how does that even apply?

thats me trying to make a set of free headers work, vs somebody making and selling a set of ugly welded migged charge piping that could have been ground down and prettied up for less then 5 minutes of time

Can you get ahold of any of this for a decent price? if so please let me know, you seem to be the e30 authority around here

ARE YOU KIDDING? The headers alone make the kit MORE than worth what i paid.

cept your manifold is not a 666 fab manifold, its a no name chinese manifold, worth 220 bux

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/bmw-e30-323-325-328-m20-t3-turbo-stainless-manifold_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ002QQitemZ120175846956QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

Exactly, was just going to post that. Jon Volk’s stuff doesnt fall apart.

beats a shitty manifold adaptor that uses stock manifolds too…

how can you really prove its a fake?

Fake? It’s not fake, it’s 100% chinese. Jon Volk has NEVER produced a manifold like that and it’s identical to all of the ebay ones. It might be from the first run though, which also fell apart but cost $600 rather than $220. Do a search on e30tech (IIRC, might’ve been R3v).
