I thought I would share some pictures of a 62 Corvette I just blasted. It is truly naked. It is the first Corvette I’ve done everything inside and out. We usually just strip the outside.This body is in the best condition of any of the Corvettes I’ve blasted. I thought some of you might like to see it down to the bare shell. It’s pretty cool to see how they are actually assembled.

Its sort of weird to see some spots in the body being translucent
its weird that the car is one piece like that lol…theres no 1/4 panels/fenders/seperate front & rear bumpers? :lol: i like it…just prob a cock when you get in a fender bender
It is. All the panels are all translucent at the right angle. They must all be fairly thin.
I actually had a guy bring in separate parts from a '62 Corvette that he was putting back together. I couldn’t even imagine trying to do that.
Its interesting how the body is a whole. It must have made getting in a fender bender a real hassle back then cause they couldnt just take that peice off and put a new one on. Nice vette though.
just out of curiosity how much did just that bare frame weight lol?
I’m not sure, I never took the body off of the cart. The body & cart was only lifted by our forklift.
even those were fiberglass, correct?
The frame itself? Those were steel. I’ve blasted a few of those too. I guess they are notorious for rotting out in the back.
Steel Frame…Glass body…pain in the dick to make perfect.
