I’m still in the single layer dvd age and want to upgrade to a dual layer dvd burner. I’m not looking to spend to much, around $50-75 at the very most. The drive can be IDE or SATA, doesn’t mater. What do you guys recommend?
NEC, what are u using it for?, any are good, some are picky if burning 360 games.
fyi, I just got a samsung DL +/- R/RW drive with lightscribe for around 60.00 or so @ bestbuy not long ago. Not sure if it was a special or not, but it works great

yep I like the samsungs, they are about 30 bucks on newegg I think.
They are very quiet while writing and reading.
yeah it needs to be able to burn 360 games, movies, and pretty much whatever else I throw at it lol
and preferably be on newegg.com since I’m ordering a bunch of stuff on there. if not, it’s really no big deal.
well, I don’t own a 360 so I can’t really comment on that, but newegg is having an anniversary sale right now so you may want to jump on it. just a heads up

I picked up a DL LG dvd-rw with lightscribe from Bestbuy for like 50 bucks about a year ago. I love it. Works great and burns xbox games fine.
