need help inspecting my car. waterloo area

hey i need someone to just quickly look at my car. i have a bent tie rod but i’m not sure if anything else is damaged. i don’t have much money so i don’t want to bring it to a shop and get ripped off. also i would need a tow truck so anyone with CAA, if you can help me out it was be much appreciated. need a shop that could change the tie rod for me if thats all the damage. this is for an s14. thanks again.

Hi. I’m in Waterloo but I’m not sure how much help I can offer. I just took a look through the factory service manual and changing the tierod doesn’t look too bad as a DIY job - more difficult than changing your oil, but not too bad. If you’ve bent a tie rod you should also get your steering rack checked since that’s what it bolts into. You will probably also need an alignment afterwards (both are not DIY). In Waterloo Don Kaster (corner of Phillip and Albert St.) has a good rep.
