Whoever is knocking Poland, you probably have never been so STFU. I would go to Poland over ANY tropical vacation. Europe is an awesome experience. Two years ago I went to France for a few days, Germany, Ireland and eventually to Poland for two weeks. Best fuggin time ever!!! Go to Europe dude. You wont regret it. Europe > everywhere else

For the 2 that have been to sandals in Jamaica- what package deal/room type did you get? total cost?
are there any hidden costs?
we’re leaning towards one of them with the all inclusive package… just want to make sure it really is.

Christ…it was a while ago, so the pricing won’t be relevant. 1993, I do believe. Still, hidden costs? I can’t recall any offhand. Even though you’re “not allowed” to tip, a lot of the hotel staff have little side deals going on…hair braiding, selling jewelry, and so on. So you don’t find yourself in an uncomfortable position later, just turn all of these down immediately and firmly.

More details. I was thinking a Europe tour but I dont know if I want to spend the 10k to make that happen. How much did it cost you. How did you get around Europe? where did you stay, what did you do

The trip cost me very little. Plane ticket to France was only $900. My uncle lives in Toulouse which borders Spain. Their home is in the mountains. Gorgeous!!! I traveled by train. Tickets are cheap and the railway is the best way to go. Train tix are inexpensive. Roughly $50-100 USD. Germany and Ireland, my cousins live there. I stayed with them. My folks have two homes in Poland so that where I stay when I am there. Also have a car so I can get around easily. Any city you go to, transportation tix are cheap. The entire trip cost me approx $2.5k and I had approx 2k in spending cash. Dinners for fam and friends…boozing…clubs…etc. A bus only costs a few bucks. Where is your gf’s family located? What city in Poland?
stay away from Jamaica and the Dominican. both are dirty countries
the resorts and cities in Mexico are much nicer
?
no, its honest. i was scared to leave the resorts after dark in those 2 countries.

Mexico is dangerous outside the resorts. I went to Cancun and it was nice. Took the bus to Xel-Ha and Akumal…you see how people live in poverty…and the crime rate is high in those areas…not safe for a tourist to be in this position by themselves. Def stick by the resorts when you go to Mexico unless you go on a chartered trip. Dominican is the same. Americans are targets in any of these countries…especially with the current events.
^
stick to the major cities and its nice. go wandering around in the slums, and it no different than walking around the fruit belt
edit:
i do agree that euro trip would probably be better.
i have been to a bunch of all inclusives down south, and they are kinda dull. this year the old lady and i are going to go hang out in ireland for a couple weeks.
she was in italy last year for 10 days and loved it. there is just more “culture” there than there is anywhere in the caribbean

i liked the west coast (tip of the baja) better than the gulf coast. it only rains 3 days a year there… you could go out and do shit and be comfortable, on the other coast there is more to do off the resort, but its crazy humid.
if you’re a diver you wont be let down anywhere you go in mexico.
