Hah, Newman covered it. Thats totally bad ass. As a little guy me and my friends used to build shit like that. There is nothing more fun that a silly little cart that sits on four massive ball bearings. Its like driving on ice, its too much fun.

If the road is super straight and smooth, you COULD do a street luge style with a LOT of rollerblade wheels… Adding wheels cuts down on the normal force per axle, and cuts down on rotational inertia (important if you start from a standstill, and aren’t pushed)…
but you need to use a lot of them…
^^^ wouldn’t the more wheels alone create more resistance?
it’s another inverted parabola… too much load on the axle will create excessive friction.
