Need wheel options

Im now to this whole american muscle thing. Looking to pick up some new wheels for spring time. Not sure what i like. Also bc the drum to disk swap does not fit under the tiny 14’s. This is the only side pic i have of the car at the moment. Looking for something in the 17" size and would like to run a 17x8 4 1/2 bs in the front and a 17x9 5 1/2 bs in the rear. Bolt pattern needs to be 5x4.5/5x114.3 Im open to all options. Would like to stay near $1000 for wheels alone.

Car will also be dropped about a inch in the rear and 1 1/2 in the front.

or weld pro stars

Do the weld pros come in anything larger than 15"? Seems that anything larger are discontinued.

Think i like these. Can get them in 17x8 17x9 or 18x8 18x9

Wheels look good for now, needs more 5.0.

That’s hopefully next winters project. This year the suspension, wheels and trans is getting replaced. Then hopefully will look for a 89-93 fox body I can strip for parts.

I can’t keep the tiny 14’s. The disk swap needs at least 15’s. But getting a little bigger is preferred for me

go staggered with a larger diameter wheel in rear. 17 up front 18 in back.

polished lip/gunmetal 5 spoke.

Budnik M5 wheels just like the one on Rick Flores 69 Mach 1. No cutting just rolled fenders. I know its a fastback but you get the point.

If I had unlimited cash I would throw CCW classics on it. But when your budget is around $1000 buying $750 wheel is not going to happen :frowning: There is a ccw rep but only in 17x9 and that wont work in the front

Drooling over this.

Found these but id need a 20mm spacer in the front and a 5mm in the rear :frowning: I don’t want to have to run almost a inch in the front.

can you put modern mustang wheels on? that might look good and be cheap

Yes but offsets are what kills it. Would need spacers as well. An ideal wheel setup is 17x8 ET0 and 17x9 ET12. that’s running a 245/45 and either a 275-285/40

I really like the look of modern (newer) wheels on older cars for some reason.

I agree with this. Make it your style. I would do something 17" or 18" and at your bolt pattern many “import” wheel crossover. Also if you do brake upgrades someday you might need a larger wheel so think about that. My Camaro has to run 18" due to the C5 vette brake conversion I did. Stops like a mofo.

Glad you snagged this thing!

Thats y I’m going with 17 or 18’s. Not ever going to go with crazy breaks. Just 4 pistons for the front with a 11.5" rotor. Will be swapping a 5.0/302 into it in the next couple years then add some forced induction when I’m sick of it again. But keeping it auto forever :frowning: the wife needs to be able to drive it without breaking it. She still has problems driving the bmw and they have super easy clutch to work with.

Thx im glad i picked it up also. Toss up between coys old school shelby look in 17 front 18 rear. Or CCW reps.
