Okay, so I need to ditch the little 17x8s that came on the car. Its time for some wider wheels and a new look. Most of these wheels i will be getting in 17s since 18inch tires are too pricey, but I’ll get a 9/10/10.5 rim in the back of the car.
You can vote for multiple choices, I just want to see some opinions.
The black chrome 500’s are my first choice, those are beautiful. The chrome saleens are a distant second option unless you can get them in the machine finish of the termi wheels, then they are pretty close to my first choice.
Bec right now my 245/45/17s out back light up at will in 1st and 2nd and it juest gets annoying after awhile.
And with how much my 1/4 panels buldge out over the tires, right now I have about 3-4 inches from the sidewall to the fender at the top
This is the best pic I have of how much the current wheels are “tucked”
most likey a 315/35/17 if the wheels I choose come in 10 inch wide. Some of these wheels only come in 9 in wide so I would prolly be limited to a 275/40/17.
I got my 255/50/16 Mickey’s for the track when I need serious traction lol
Given the fact your car is black, I’d say stay away from all black or black chrome. A chrome or the machined look will be nice, and really pop with your car. The Black FR500s with the chrome lip would be acceptable, but I’d probably go with the chrome Saleens.
Also, mustangs in general need something bigger than a 17" wheel. I’d definitely be looking at 18" wheels.
Chrome Saleens > all those options…and I usually am not a fan of chrome, but those wheels are hot. Also, are you considering the BBS wheel? …or just using those as an FR500 reference?
