Almost as funny as you making an ass out of yourself with your assumptions. Anyhow, it’s not the cost but finding SOMEONE that will insure it that’s the problem. A local Atom owner has been through this already. I am not about to re-create the wheel.
With that said, I don’t want to spend money to spend money. If there is nothing I like, I simply will not buy. Car are a horrible investment and I have probably sent/modded more than the majority of imports in this area. That hurts to admit that. However, I need to consider other purchases that I want to make so I am keeping my options open. I really will miss a toy on the side but don’t want to do the modding thing again. I think a Lambo is away out of my purchase range right now from the purchase, insurance, maintenance, etc… My dream is a Ferrari one day. Maybe soon? Maybe not? The thought of even pouring cash into basic repairs is not appealing. I never really seen a Porsche that really attacts me except the Carerra GT but that’s not possible. A newer M3 is definately a possibility.
Also, I’d love a pool with the house so maybe it’s best to go with a cheaper car and spend the money elsewhere? I really need to figure out what I want but having a ton of options makes it overwhelming.
I think your on the right track, this isn’t a decision anyone should make with out careful consideration, unless of course its your dream and you have over 8 figures chilling in the bank :banana.
Having friends who have owned ferraris I can assure you the whole mystique with owning one is highly overrated. From my experience with life the fastest way to be let down is to meet your heros, they never live up to the hype you’ve built up for them in your mind, never. Much like boat owners, the two happiest days of a ferrari owners life are the day he gets it and the day he sells it. Ultimately that decision is your call, I just hate to see someone make a decision like this with out really weighing the options, its often tough to be honest with yourself when you have an emotional attachment to something. Think about the dumb decisions we have all made with woman at times in our life, we certainly knew better but for some reason just couldn’t make the right choice because of an emotional attachment :headbang
Shawn you don’t need a Ferrari, you already got a wify! :tong
I completely agree with timmay in the fact that, it will greatly lose it’s appeal once you own it. You will want the one you have less and less, and will probably want a newer one instead, or just get dissapointed and sell it.
It was sort of like that for me with bikes. They had a crazy appeal to me before I bought one, lot’s of different impressions and dreams, and the first week of me having it, was honestly the most fun I had on it since. Don’t get me wrong, I still love riding, but the mystery appeal is not there anymore.
F buying a fancy sports car, if you got upwards of $90k to spend buy investment property. You’ll have more money down the road and maybe even a nicer car then you dreamed of in the future.
???what a waste of money. iIve got a fire going in the fire place, why don’t you come over and chuck it in. What are you a real estate agent or some shit? Do you need to look like you have a 1500 dollar car payment a month? I’m confused since the car has no purpose, give it purpose. What do you need it to do?
Another car that I really like, that doesn’t get the credit it deserves is the old body style CLK55, while not a rocket, it is fast and I feel a much better looking car then the current CLK. Besides by now they are probably fairly cheap.
w3rd, c6 z06. someone told that there was an 06 with 6k on it for 55k… or look for a 911 biturbo. audi rs4, or maybe the 335i sedan? if 90k is your budget you shouldn’t have a problem finding a decent car…
