Picked up a “toy” for the summer, I was on a budget and didnt break the bank by any means, I will be selling at the end of the summer so lets just say its a LS1 at LT1 prices…

The car is a 2001 Formula out of Deltona Florida, life long FL car, clean title, 113k

Mods as follow- (has Ls6 intake from factory)

LS6 heads/cam package, Pacesetter LTs, ORY, SLP loudmouth w Borla muffler, strut tower brace, subframe connectors, 3.73s, SLP lid, K&N

Its navy blue metallic with tan cloth

before you guys think it was a steal (it was a good deal) its not without fault

The guy who owned it before me never heard of an ash tray and the car was coated with ashes from dash to hatch, luckily there are only one or two small burn marks and the car dosent smell at all, I removed all the seats and shampooed the car from front to back…

Also small children inhabited the car and must have loved A&W rootbeer candies, or maybe they didnt as I found about a dozen of them burst under the seats …

The car came laden with stereo equipment which was removed post haste, also it had tacky light up gauge overlays and fake turbo boost gauges on the A pillar along with aftermarket shift knobs and the whole 9 yards of the ghetto pepboys add ons…

Also apparently towing a jet ski with a Formula in FL is a big deal as I have gotten 3 Formulas from Florida and 2 of them including this one had trailer hitches, so that was promptly removed

Between the stereo shit, the spare tire and the trailer hitch I probably pulled 250 pounds out of the ass end…

Today it got the clay bar treatment, a wax, a oil change and I removed the taillights and buffed them out with plastic cleaner…

the car still has a nasty header leak and needs to be tuned for emissions (going to Chuck and Jay soon) and needs tires…

I have about 10 hours into it so far cleaning it and its shaping up nicely

all in all I think with a little work she will be an awesome car!

any fbod guys reading this I am looking for some good tires, a drivers side A pillar , tan cloth door panels (mine have cracks) and a stock Monsoon head unit

yeah they do stick out a bit, I’ll let whoever buys it from me worry about what they want to do with it, I am just going to get it in tip top mechanical shape and drive it for the next 6 months…

the car is full weight with nothing removed and cold AC

I probably wont pull anything out of it, not worth the effort to shave a tenth or two and then have a harder time selling it…

Yeah exhaust leaks really suck,can’t stand them myself.I am currently having some exhaust work done to my car.Decided to go with Magnaflow :slight_smile:

nice buy. im in the market for something now like this… and A+ for the hitch and towing jet skis. nothing like towing a ski with about 350 hp

Well I want to drive it for the summer but if someone offered me $6500 right now I might be inclined to part with it

your a crazy man, did you fly down and drive it back up because the next car i want to buy im thinking about doing that. I just hate not being able to see the car and test drive it.

no I had it shipped here, if you want to look at the bird lemmie know asap otherwise its going on the road soon , Chucks gonna take a look at the header and the tune this weekend

i think im going to keep looking around to see if anything else comes up. Im not really sure what i want because i have around 6-7k in cash to play with untill i have to get a loan.

well theres nothing around for the price thats half as nice, body and paint wise its alot nicer than the black Formula I had, you could own it outright and then have money for more mods :slight_smile:

I suppose it should run mid-low 12s as it sits and could go 11s with a bigger stall and some weight reduction

I was going sell them but i love f bodys so i was going to keep them for the next car but im tossing up a few different cars 350z, audi tt, maybe a mustang but idk the power that ls1’s put out its hard to let down. Im trying to find a cheap fast reliable car for this summer because i will be leaving for the border maybe customs academy in the fall.
