Howdy
Heard of this website from a few local guys. I live about 20 minutes from Morgantown, WV. I figured I would check this site out and see what it has to offer. There are a few local sites here but they really don’t have much going on… Maybe a nice technical post or car discussion worth reading once a month.
I have been into the hobby of modifying cars, racing, car shows, etc since I could drive. I have a 99 Mustang that I had since I was 15. At the end of high school I picked up an 03 Wrangler for a DD and got into the whole offroad scene which was fun but I started traveling a good bit and a lifted Jeep isn’t exactly the best for that. Next, I got an 07 Impreza 2.5. I put a few suspension goodies on it and had fun with it, drove great, but with my Mustang having more and more downtime with modding it, I wanted something faster for a DD. So, I picked up an 08.5 Mazdaspeed 3.
My 99 Mustang started out as a base model automatic car with few options.
10 years later it has collected this list of mods. Yes, you can go ahead and waste your time hating on it all you want for being a V6, but I like being different.

Horsepower and torque at the wheels
404 / 368 @ 10 lbs
426 / 388 @ 11 lbs
474 / 431 @ 13.5 lbs
I normally drive around with it at 11 lbs. The motor won’t last long boosting 13.5 lbs on stock internals. I’ll have a mildly built motor (ported heads / forged bottom end) ready for it by next summer and put down around 550 whp. At that point I think I’m going to call it quits for power. Any more and I will need to upgrade the fuel lines / rails.
Drivetrain/Suspension/Brakes
Automatic car converted to T-5 w/Astro Performance cluster support, Prothane transmission mount
FMS Aluminum Driveshaft
FMS Driveshaft loop
8.8 rear end w/ 3.73 gears, T-Loc, 31 spline axles, FMS girdle

And a decent amount of appearance mods.

I’m up towards PA quite often so maybe I’ll be able to catch some events going on and see some of you around.
