New hood and splitters, like or dislike?

I fail to see your argument as manufacturers spend alot of time and money designing wheels to suit the vehicle. Unlike aftermarket wheel companies who most likely hire people that rode the short bus at the time to design atrocious wheels that consumers such as your self purchase

:thumbup

can you gold plate my wheel bolts

What arguement? Did i bash the Oem look at all? I was just talking about preference which mine tends not to be the Oem look… Now as far as the guys who make wheels being a special type. Only if they drink a lil to much tequila. Below is about the process from Axiom. Next time I am in Miami I will take some pics of the new facility.

AXIOM wheels are produced to the very highest standards. Our pursuit of excellence in wheel construction and streamlined order production processes are what allow us to deliver a consistently high quality wheels that are truly custom manufactured to our clients specifications. It issimple to speak of high quality and customization, but quite another to deliver.

At AXIOM each order is scrutinized to ensure that the wheels and any customized components* such as brakes, body panels, driveline components, custom tires, etc, are correctly matched. After this step, the order is placed into our production queue where the centers are CNC lathed and milled from aerospace quality 6061 Aluminum Forged disks to produce the design to the exact speciifcations required by the intended veicle. At this step, each set is assigned its own unique production control number to follow its every step in the production chain. After inspection, the centers are deburred and sent to final finishing where each design begins to take its own peronalized look, based on the clients preferences. Once the finishing is complete, the centers and rim components are joined together by hand, on our proprietary assembly fixture which simultaneously verifies, centerbore diameter, depth, and lateral as well as radial runout. After final assembly the wheels are inspected one final time for strict adherence to our quality standards, and are then boxed and readied for transport.

*Non-standard or customized parts including Aftermarket brakes must be disclosed at time of ordering, and may affect certain aesthetic elements such as outer rim width

Your information is false. AXIOM wheels are made in the Himalayan mountains by trans-gender elves.

:ohnoes:wtf:crazy

uuhh, wrong? Putting an m5 badge on a car thats not an M 5 is wrong. This car came stock with an m logo on the steering wheel and side moldings and other places that I will point out later, it is called from the factory an “M sport package 540i” therfore once again, I see nothing wrong with an M badge with-OUT the 5 on the vehicle.

i think its the placement of it, looks like it was just tossed in there, kind of tacky.

would really make the nose look better without it there.

ditch the lowers, the m badge and keep the hood and youll be better off for sure.

I constantly think about lowering the car but I know without 2 weeks of doing so im gonna fuck up the splitters and scratch my bumper… Im always hitting potholes and shit. I already bought the carbon fiber trunk just dont know when im gonna be installing it, it needs to be greatly modified to fit which is retarded… As for seeing the car in person, you HAVE to. The car is a million times better in person then in photographs.

…There was a laguna/grabber blue e39 around here?

I dont think he would approve of an “m” badge no matter where it was mounted, im trying to argue the fact that it is perfectly fine to have one on a car that is in fact an “M” package lol…

AJ did my trunk pretty damn easy. Did you go with vis, seibon?

VIS and im not very happy with them right now man, in the beginning they went out of there way to hook me up, but it seems now that I spent a good $5g’s, fuck me.

I asked him to install my seats which originally was no problem and my hood pins on the carbon fiber hood that were VERY important to me. Every oem hardware carbon fiber hood that I’ve ever closed always cracked on me from the force of closing it.

Well, he didnt even attempt to install the seats, said the brackets were different meanwhile the new seats CAME with new brackets/sliders and 2 its pretty easy to make custom ones

and two, he told me he didnt install hood pins but would bring it back into the shop to see what he could do real quick but never touched/looked at it again after that.

To top it all off, he charged me what it would cost if he installed EVERYTHING meaning the seats and the pins as well when all he did was install hood and splitters which imo DOESNT take 4 hours… I dont swap motors but im prettyy sure I could install an oem style hood in about 30 minutes.

If this has been in the past month there has been a few shenanigans going on. Call him up I am sure he will make it right if you talk to him.

This has been in the past 24 hours lol…and its not even like im a hard ass, when he installed my front AND rear bumpers they BOTH sagged and had to be taken back to be fixed, I didnt complain at all.

I dont even care, I dont have much more bodywork to do anyway just saying, I spent alotta loot on my red and blue car in the last few months to be taken advantage of.

No hate towards them, just a little dissapointed.

understood, I am going to bring it up with them since you were a referal of mine though.

love the hood and the laguna seca, splitters are okay, would look a lot better with the front slammed. Might as well keep them since you probably spent a lot. And i have to agree that the front would look a lot cleaner without the M badge.

The hood def. looks pretty good because it breaks up the blue.

To the “M” badge thing, my dad has an '03 540i, 6 speed, M package, the whole deal…Has the M wheels, steering wheel, M5 trunk lid, shift knob, taillights…and the previous owner had the little “M” badges in with the owners manual and my dad put one in the grille and I told him to ditch it because it cheesed up the look of it, so he did and now it looks 100% :lol To each his own though

:rofl:rofl:rofl

Get the splitters sitting in further and I think theyd look great, they stick out a bit too much on the sides.

slam it to the ground, have airbags go off due to lowness, win…oh and u need wider lower offset wheels.
