It is 100%, no excuses worth the $40 for one event, just to try it. Some people feel that it doesn’t have a good enough driving-to-$$$ ratio, but you never know until you try. Any car guy would love the atmosphere, it’s very supportive, people are handing out wrenches, window tape, helmets, and tire gauges everywhere :lol
I’ll post the first one for the '09 season in the 518 events forum so everyone knows about it ;D
If you guys know Pete (30r_logik), he came to watch the last one this year rather reluctantly, but ended up staying the whole time just watching and talking to people. He plans on doing as many as he can next year. If stubborn Pete wants to do it, the guy who only cares about trap speed, everyone should give it a shot :lol
Odd to see those wheels on a 1.8t, also the badges on the trunk are supose to be located like 6 inches lower on the facelifts. Ever had the trunk painted lol
new member,
Are you on vwvortex? If not you should sign up. Looking through the threads is always an educational experience. Also you can get your exhaust and susension for A LOT cheaper you look through the classifieds.
the badges are definently installed as per the pre-facelift guidelines. 96-99 style.
now the wheels, they are usually 2.8 wheels but the 97 1.8ts came with them as well, base 1.8t 01’s usually came with
or
and the more uppedity 01’s had the RS4 style celebration wheels
id start poking aroung the trunk area and look for signs of rework, look at the rear bumper fasteners for evidence of removal, trunk arm hardware, etc.
Why you you be pissed, if the body work was good enough to not fall apart and you didnt even notice it… whats the big deal!
Whats up, and welcome. Check out these guys… Capital Area VW/AUDI. A lot of good guys there, not afraid to help a brother out. Just like allot of people here on shift too. Before you buy anything, do your research. You OP looked like you had a good 10K laying around to hook up your car next year. I like your ambition, but it sounds a bit over the top based on your school/work. Shit maybe you can get mommy/daddy funded, like a lot of people around here :banana. JK, do it your self you will respect your car and yourself more that way… plus everyone wont hate on you.
Hop over to ca-va and post up in the audi page. There is a guy in Clifton park with a very nice silver a4 1.8t… lowered, 19’s, RS4 bumper… nice ride and a great guy too.
PM me if you need a hand with some shit too. I have a heated garage and can help you do anything you want. I started out in Audio too, so when you want to mold a kick ass trunk setup… I am your man. :ninja
Welcome. I’m always glad to see another Audi driver join the forums. I live in Ballston Lake, so your like maybe 10 min from me man.
I’m curious to see and hear your audio setup and wax philosophic about it. I’m working on wrapping up my own install in my car. I’m mainly all for SQ but I have some SPL knowledge as well. Marty knows more about it than me, because he does it. I used to do it for a bit, but it got old super fast and I lost interest.
Another place that can do good work on your Audi is Inline. Theyre located in Rotterdam/Sch’dy. I had them build my exhaust.
