New times from 06/04

Went to BSD for a local track rental Saturday. Only had street tires but still picked up a half second from last year with bolt on’s.

12.86@111.01 1.966 60
12.87@111.51 2.017 60

Still have to put on the LS6 intake and a set of DR’s but overall still think it did okay for no powershifting and leaving lightly. I’m happy with it for now. Can only get better from here.

congrats

i have a ls6 intake for sale

Thanks bud but there’s one that’s been sitting on my toolbox for a couple months now. Just been lazy when it comes to the car lately.

Sweet times…what kind of car do you have and mods?

how much

Go look in my garage Bics. I’m sure you’ll like it. :burnout:

i have other parts too pm me n ill send the list !!

Haha…same as mine…looks nice and clean man!!!So what you got done to it?

Jet-Hot LT’s, Hooker ORYP, Borla cat back, !cats, Shiz ported & polished TB, TB bypass, FRA, Powershot filter, TSP lid, SLP smooth bellows, 160 T-Stat, ASP pulley, SPEC 3, Moser 12 bolt, 4.11 Motives, DD SFC’s, BMR LCA’s, Spohn adj chassis mount T/A,! front swaybar, worn 275/40/17 Dayton street tires( aka… rocks).Stock tune. No weight reductions

yet

Thats pretty much what I want to get odone to my car. Minus the gears though and I want a Ram clutch. How do you like the jet hots? You ever get that thing dynoed?

No dyno yet and no tune. No one around me tunes these cars. The Ram clutch is a good choice but I have to give respect to this SPEC 3. It grabs like a mofo but I guess they’re hit or miss when buying.

You don’t know what you are missing with the 4.11’s with the M6. Unless you plan to run nitrous or a S/C the 4.11’s can’t be beat. Very, very street friendly and I have no problem at the end of the track in 4th. Some people say they run out of gear at the end with 4.10-4.11 gears but I have lots to spare. 6th gear at 65 is around 2400rpm’s.
The takeoff of the 4.11’s is amazing compared to the stock 3.42’s. Gas wise. Figure a 1/4 tank got me home from the track and to the Sunoco station the next morning. 99 miles total running most of the way home in 5th. The Moser makes my ears hurt on long trips in 6th gear.

oh yeah… For the money I paid thanks to Jet-Hots screw up I really like them but if you drive in the rain you may want to spend a little extra for stainless such as Kooks or QTP. The coating on the mine is already allowing rust after just a year. They fit great with the install smooth. Only problem area was the driver side where I had to use my 4ft prybar to move the engine upwards a 1/4 inch to slide it in. The motor mount will give that much with no problem and having a rack to do it on like I did makes the install much easier. Power and ground clearence wise can’t be beat. Mine tuck up close to the floor unlike low hanging SLP’s and you can get them with the AIR and EGR fitting on them with 02 bungs in the collectors.

If you have any questions on anything I have done PM me. I installed everything myself and none of which was hard.

I dont know if I want to give up that much gearing…I like being at like 1500 at 65…Isnt there a 3.8X? How much were your Headers and how do they fit?

dont fear the gear.

Edited for the Jet hots go back up and read. They cost me 466 from Jet-Hot but they screwed up the order and charged me for Hooker shorties then sent them. When I called they had me send back the hookers at their expense and sent their LT’s at no extra charge.

Here is a gear converter to help you figure around what gears you want. Your 6th gear ratio would be .65.
