new whip (nothing special)

So i just bought a '96 Infiniti G20 to replace my stolen civic. I’ll get some pics soon, the body needs a little love but the leather interior and motor are great. 112k, some surface rust on the body but no rot, 1800 bucks. Does anyone know anything i should look out for/common problems on these/sr20de motors? Any info would be great I’ve owned Hondas for 6 years, this is my first Nissan.

nice my buddy has one of these and its super nice to drive and very comfy hes never had a problem with it just regular maintence

my SR20DE mechanically has not had any problems(122k), keep up on the normal maintenance stuff and all you should have to worry about is rust

i always liked g20’s - got a 110 speeding ticket in one in GA lol

sr20de is a very reliable motor, your set

PICS?

Is it a turbo model?

no g20’s are turbo stock

sweet wifes got a 95 G20T

awesome thats good to know. so far i like it a lot. the sound system sucks though the stock 4x6’s in the front are very weak.

its a 96 what you expect  haha

Got some 6x9’s you can have for cheap!

Very nice. Just keep an ear open for timing chain noise. They’re pretty solid cars.

The only thing that went on the wifes is the fuel pump which could occur in anycar thats over 10 years old with 120K on it. I would recommend swapping yours out for a new one if your worried about it leaving you stranded somewhere. Its a pretty easy swap out, should only take a few hours if you know what your doing. Also I just swapped out the water pump, this is a bigger job but can be done in a day. I replaced mine as preventive maitenance, and it turned out the factory one was in great shape still when I pulled it out.

i want swap my driveline in a 02 G20…i liek them
