Everyone hears new words used in conversation right?
Today our secretary used: neophyte and I had to look it up
So what words did you learn today?
ne⋅o⋅phyte –noun 1.a beginner or novice: He’s a neophyte at chess. 2.Roman Catholic Church. a novice.3.a person newly converted to a belief, as a heathen, heretic, or nonbeliever; proselyte.4.Primitive Church. a person newly baptized.
The conversation was in reference to the guy that never made coffee after taking the last cup. He thought it filled itself apparently.
your secretary probably looked up that word last night and then decided to use it in a conversation so that someone would make a thread about her on the internet, my guess :gotme:
but people actually do this to broaden their vocabulary or some shit, they’ll pick random words and then find places to use them throughout the day
