New word of the day

Everyone hears new words used in conversation right?

Today our secretary used: neophyte and I had to look it up :frowning:
So what words did you learn today?

ne⋅o⋅phyte
–noun 1.a beginner or novice: He’s a neophyte at chess. 2.Roman Catholic Church. a novice.3.a person newly converted to a belief, as a heathen, heretic, or nonbeliever; proselyte.4.Primitive Church. a person newly baptized.

The conversation was in reference to the guy that never made coffee after taking the last cup. He thought it filled itself apparently.

your secretary probably looked up that word last night and then decided to use it in a conversation so that someone would make a thread about her on the internet, my guess :gotme:

but people actually do this to broaden their vocabulary or some shit, they’ll pick random words and then find places to use them throughout the day

I’ve heard neophyte used quite often. Think of it as a synonym for :noob:

that’s actually a good idea.

My term of the day at work was “organizational restructuring.”
It means “layoffs”

ive been using the word “wild” a lot more lately

also the word “zainy”

the word of the day is Hymenator!

new term for n00bies around here?

we noobs are mere fuck trophies of mass mod copulation, while speeders look on with lust filled eyes.

We use “Leveling the plant” for layoffs.

Ask her if she knows what “CumDumpster” means if not=Unemployed.

She’s in her 60’s… but whatever floats your boat.

swag - To pull a number out of your ass when you have no fucking clue what it will actually cost to do something.

verb - “I’ll take a swag at the cost of refurbishing and reconfiguring that two stage compressor to a single stage twin piston compressor.”

noun - “Make sure it is clear that that number is just a swag.”

~ $3500 ?
edit: glauber?
