Coming up from Pittsburgh this weekend. The man and I want to drop the kid off at grandma’s and spend a night in the (Canadian) Falls getting shitfaced and freaky. We haven’t been out sans child for two years.
Looking online, all the hotels look all fancy shmancy and appear to all sit right on the Falls…but which ones really ARE on the Falls? We’d prefer a room with a view, something clean, nice blah blah…again, we haven’t been out in 2 years so I want it to be worth it.
I got a suite at the Oakes for next to nothing a little bit ago. It had a great view and was a very nice room. I used to spend a lot of time at the Sheridan on the falls (the one that is by the casino hotel, there are two sheridan’s) I like both, but the one farther away and is right on clifton hill and hard to drive to (good if you are going to get shitty and want to walk back to your hotel)
I have yet to stay at the new casino hotel, but I hear good things.
If you want to stay near the main attractions, go with Sheraton on the falls. Decent rooms, good buffet on the 10th (I think) floor with an amazing view of the falls. The indoor pool sucks balls tho. it’s clean but it’s just too small.
Hilton has a great pool. but is farther away from the strip.
Fallsview I haven’t stayed at, but heard it’s nice and has great views. They are closer to the falls, but further from clifton hill.
Like I said before, though. If getting fucked up is the main goal, stay near the strip and go with the Sheraton or something similar. They actually have an amazing indoor waterpark pretty much connected to the sheraton too. Not cheap, but cool.
If you can’t get in, they have a floor dedicated to their SPG gold and above members. I am not sure if my account is still gold, but I can always make a call and try if need be.
Embassy suites is usually a bomb place to stay, usually have one of the nicest rooms and usually a killer comp breakfast they pretty much make anything you want. eggs, bacon…etc. you get the jist
