nice nsx

Right, one of my father’s cars…i drive it because my beater is a beat piece of honda ass

Yes, it does. The EVO has good power and great handling and is no where near consider a supe rcar. It’s a combination of a lot of things and price typically is a factor. We all know the stats of the car but many people don’t realize how expensive it was.

Supercar is a term generally used for a high-end sports car, whose performance is highly superior to that of its contemporaries. It has been defined specifically as “a very expensive fast or powerful car with a centrally located engine”[2], and stated in more general terms: “it must be very fast, with sporting handling to match,” “it should be sleek and eye-catching” and its price should be “one in a rarified atmosphere of its own.”[3] but the proper application of the term is subjective and disputed, especially among enthusiasts. The use of the term can be dependent on the era: a vehicle that may have been considered a supercar at one time may not retain its superiority indefinitely. The term supercar may refer to factory-built, street-legal sports cars, or to modified production cars that have similar performance.[4] Some supercars include some of the features required for race cars, like the roll cage, [5] while other supercars are in general race cars with only the minimum legal required modifications made (e.g. meeting emission regulations, legal tyres, limited exhaust note) to be street legal – i.e. not at all comfortable nor practical, especially e.g. on the arbitrary city roads found in the real world.

Despite the NSX’s current age, it still has a strong base of fans and supporters. Honda and many NSX enthusiasts describe the vehicle as a supercar based on its body type, drivetrain layout, packaging, and especially car handling. Others disagree, claiming the NSX does not qualify for exotic car/supercar status because it is not of European origin. Also, it is not as powerful as modern supercars, although its rated 270 horsepower (200 kW) at debut in 1990 was only 30 horsepower (22 kW) shy of the 300 lb (136 kg) heavier Ferrari 348, the NSX’s direct rival. Because of its lighter weight, the NSX was slightly faster than the 348 in straight-line acceleration. At one time, it featured the highest per-litre specific output of any road-going naturally aspirated V6 engine in the world, and it is exceptionally fast for the motor’s relatively low power output versus comparable “supercars”.[citation needed] Post-1997 3.2 L North American Acura examples are known to achieve a 13.3 second quarter-mile time (1997-2005 model year NSX-T; the 149 lb (68 kg) lighter Zanardi Edition NSX is closer to 13 seconds flat), while the Japanese NSX-R (2002+) is known to perform a 12.5 second quarter-mile time.[citation needed] This ability is a result of the high 8,000 rpm redline, flat power curve, short gear ratios, light weight and mid-engine layout.

I guess it depends on your definition but the looks, handling, power, price tag, etc… scream sports car. Also, this is MID 90s people.

Uh in the “super car” world are you NOT aware that a C6 Z06 will lay down better lap times/ quarter mile times then more then half the ferarris and Lamborghini’s made??? For 1/3 of the price??

O shit…I own a camaro and I just spelled “Lamborghini”…<<<Not intended to Code Blue.

Any lambo > a chevy. Even a C6 Z06.

^^^ yep. sorry, have to agree there too. theres just something about the sound of those lambo’s… :wow

Carerra GT sounds fucking AMAZING but the Lambos have their own distinct sound. You got to be a retard or the biggest GM/Chevy/Vette fanboi in the world to choose the C6 Z06 over one of them.

I didnt say I would OWN a C6 Z06 over a ferarri’, Carerra GT or any Lambo…I just simply said it puts down better times then most of todays super car standards for less then half the price…you guys are putting words in my mouth that I havent said.

I didn’t say you did. Just pointing it out. C6 Z06 is a great buy. I won’t deny that.
