It completely depends on the size of the grill. The browning grill was pretty big and was around $250. That being said, if I have a few orders at once, it can significantly reduce the price.
As for materials, again it depends on price. Typically the grills are 1/4" steel, but if you wanted stainless, you can get away with less, say 3/16, but the price increases significantly. A piece of 24 X 30 X 3/16" stainless is just over $200 alone.
The bare steel grills are to be treated just as you would a cast iron grill, well oiled, and cleaned and stored indoors for winter. I personally prefer a steel grill, kept well oiled, it will last a long time.
If your definitely interested, the way we do it is you provide what you want in the grill, either emblem, words etc, we do the drawing for your approval, then once approve, a deposit is requested to cover material cost. Upon completion a photo is sent and the remaining funds are collected (alternatively you can pay full cost upfront.)

Do all sorts of cuttings. For aluminum parts waterjet, plasma for most steel, laser for some steel as well.
