i was thinking spoon instead…
Mugen is now a pile of crap. the new mugen civic? 4dr? bleh. the Dominator? 4dr? bleh.
where the fuck is the mugen stuff for the Si? i haven’t seen anything. haven’t looked, but you’d think they’d be whoring that shit all over the place. Mugen back in the late 90’s early 00’s is when they rocked this side of the ocean. CRX days back in Japan.
But could you imagine the bullshit you could pull on a honda owner if you drove around with a Spoon sticker on your nissan? “yeah man, spoon switched sides like anakin from star wars. sucks to be honda now eh” hilarity ensues.
then they will start throwing trd and nismo stickers on their civics  not a good situation
skylines just dropped the one bulb off rx7’s??
man you guys get off topic too easily. . .
Just days after word came that Nissan is working on a small coupe, a mysterious prototype has been spotted in and around the automaker’s facilities at the Nürburgring in Germany.
While the body of the prototype above screams 350Z, look closely, and substantial alterations seem to support the notion that this is not a next-generation Zed car, but rather a new, smaller model, potentially with some cues lifted from its Urge concept of a couple years back.
Check out the awkward roofline, which looks like it has been chopped to accommodate a clipped wheelbase. Our spies at KGP report that there are riveted sections in the mule’s roof, which lend a degree of credence to this assertion. Click on the high-resolution gallery, and it looks as if the doors may have had some work done to them as well (note the vertical tape lines).
Given that engineers appear to be using a Porsche Cayman as a comparison benchmark, it’s either the case that this remains a new, smaller 350Z (the two models are Nissan’s closest natural competitors), or that the company is setting a seriously high bar for its budget performance car. We can only hope that their choice of a Boxster companion will mean that the new car will be rear-drive as well.
A new prototype has shown up at Nissan’s facilities at Germany’s Nürburgring. The mule utilizes the body of a 350Z, but it has been altered considerably suggesting that it’s an early mule for an new model. Our sources on the ground in Germany report that the car looks like it has a shortened wheelbase, and there are some riveted sections in the roof that seem to support that observation. It appears that the roof line of this mule has been cut and shortened.
This prototype has surfaced just days after a story broke in AutoCar (Nissan plans trio of sports cars | Autocar ) which claims that Nissan has begun development of a new rear-wheel-drive sport coupe using the Urge concept car as its inspiration. This mule could be the first evidence that something like the Urge is heading toward to production. Whatever this mule represents, it was running with a Porsche Cayman, so Nissan is engaging in some lofty benchmarking for this car’s driving dynamics. Given that the Cayman is an obvious competitor for the 350Z, we have to leave open the possibility that this is an early prototype for the next-gen Z-car, but this mule’s altered proportions suggest something different. If this a mule for the Nissan Urge, then budget-minded enthusiasts should have another enticing buying option in a couple years.
As this car hits the track in Germany, we’ll be working to gather more information.
i hope this prototype is scrapped cause what kind of shit design is that roof …now all you have to do is put a fin on it for directional steering hahahahha… although it might be benefitial for head room but come on is a sports car… screw comfort unless they are making room for the nismo super chip
The question is… If they do release a new silvia on our side of the ocean. Will it be called a Silivia? 240sx? or something else?
I would like it to be called a 240sx personaly. Silvia is nice, but no one on this side of the ocean, other than us guys, would understand it and then we would all be called fags for buying a chicks car… fuckers.
Silvia is a good name as well as 180sx or 200sx … why 240sx ?
240z 260z 280z 280zx 300zx … its all in relation to the motor in some way and not so much what it had been called prior other than a Z or zx or sx
I doubt it’ll carry the z badge (saw pics of the 370z in a mag). I could see it being another sx badge. Being as “fairlady” name tag still hasn’t transferred, I doubt the silvia one will.
Against a Cayman though… I see it not being that cheap :?
Yeah, that prototype looks pretty ugly. I really don’t like the hatch roof on the back.
However, if they make good on their promise to deliver a turbo’d 2 door ‘SX’ coupe for under 25 grand, I’ll buy one instantly. Without hesitation
I love the 350z but can’t afford it’s ridiculous price tag here. I can’t believe they only offer the top trim 350z in Canada and price it at 50 large. What ever happened to the great sport compact concept of taking a great low priced car and making it go like stink?
I can’t wait to find out more details
